San-Ei Gen F.F.I., Inc. is not only a leading manufacturer of natural food colors in the world but also a developer and manufacturer of flavors for foods and beverages. In fact, we began producing flavors in 1938 and pioneered Japan’s first flavor emulsion in 1953. Since then, we have accumulated a wealth of scientific and technological expertise.
We focus on palatability of foods that people perceive in their daily diet, and look into flavor components that contribute to palatability by utilizing our state-of-the-art analysis technology. Based on the results of exploration of flavor components in combination with our flavor blending technique, we create original inimitable flavors.
As the halal market has been growing, we obtain halal certification in the development of all flavor products for international sales.
Some of the products produced at our Osaka main plant are accredited with halal certification by the Japanese halal certification organization, Japan Muslim Association (JMA).
